One day I got a call from Jeff Homer, the owner of Grovedale Winery, who told me he got my number from my wife. I had no idea my wife knew anyone named Jeff Homer. Turns out he got her number while looking at different agencies in the Harrisburg area and called her to talk about his business and a wine he launched during the pandemic, Sh!tshow Fine Wine. She didn’t think her agency would be a good fit but thought mine might.

Jeff wanted to capitalize on the buzz the brand got for their unique name and perfectly timed launch. A wine named Sh!tshow? Launched during the shitshow that was 2020? Sign me up. After pitching myself and my agency’s capabilities, we won the Sh!tshow brand, becoming AOR. While we were developing the brand strategy and platform, we were also supporting the brand on social and launched a temporary site for the wine to help introduce new varietals to consumers.
